Mill Creek is providing Equipment Logistics Services, which include schedule development and maintenance, warehousing management, delivery and installation services to Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California for their new hospital building, the Ocean Tower. The six-story, 357,900 SF building includes a 30 bay emergency room, 10 operating rooms, 4 CATH labs, PACU/Recovery and Pre-Op units. There will be 250 private patient rooms, including LDRP, Pediatrics, CCU/ICU, and Med Surg units. The ground floor will also house a large cafeteria, new admitting department and an expansive new lobby. Combined with the existing Mountain Tower, Community Memorial Hospital’s campus now spans more than 600,000 SF. To ensure that the project runs as smoothly as possible, Mill Creek created a comprehensive outfitting schedule based on the hospital’s construction schedule and the time frames required for vendors, biomed, and engineering work. Mill Creek is responsible for making sure that over 10,000 equipment items are delivered in excellent condition, stored, assembled, and installed correctly. This work includes securing space for expensive, fragile equipment and creating a damage prevention plan. Throughout this project, our team has taken extra care to ensure minimal impact on Community Memorial Hospital’s operations. This project will be completed in summer of 2018.
